Tuesday 12th May - Mt Borrodaile
Jamilah: Today, we went on a walk where we saw lots of rock art. Apparently, in the wet season you can drive through to the rock art in a boat. My favourite bit was walking through the swamps. Some of the rock art was fantastic except in all the shelters where the rock art was there were lots of mosquitos. We walked through lots of caves where Mummy had to use her torch it was so dark, but there wasn’t any rock art in there. Most of the paintings were of food sources and mimi spirits. Mimi spirits are the aboriginal ancestors. We also saw a ball of beeswax that felt like stone that they used to use for making things. Then we went back to camp and had lunch. In the afternoon Daddy and Mummy went to sleep whilst I read my book and now I am writing my blogs before we fly to Darwin.
