Sunday 10th May - Kakadu
Jamilah: Today we climbed up the top of a hill and looked at the dry lands and the wet lands on either side of the hill. We also saw some rock art on laws - the law explained things you should do and shouldn’t do. Then we went on a boat ride down the Alligator River and we stopped off on one river bank and I found a rock that looked like a crocodile - I pretended to ride it. The lady who was driving the boat showed us lots of different things that the Aborigines used - the worst one was a spear with lots of sharp bits up it that would get stuck in your leg if you broke the law - ouch! She also showed us lots of bags and spears. One was the wobbly spear as it wobbles when its in flight. The other one was just a normal spear. On the way back we saw this gigantic crocodile which was sunbathing on the river bank - I was amazed at it. Then we went for lunch and then had an afternoon nap and in the late afternoon we went to see the sunset. We saw the sunset up on a hill near a billabong
